As you may all know, I bloody love a good lippy. No handbag of mine is complete without at least several dozen rolling around, a shade for every occasion on stand-by. Revlon have released a new range of long-lasting, moisturising lip colours. The 'Ultimate Suede' range has 20 different shades in total, and I sampled the 13 shown below:

I was really, really impressed with Revlon's colour palette on this lipwear range. It really does cover all bases - soft pinky nudes, warm browns, tangy corals and rich berry shades. Bravo Revlon!

It applies quite sheer, so you need to apply a good few layers for a colour-popping pout. It feels like you're using a lip balm thanks to the added shea butter, so lovely and soft on the lip, but still with the colour intensity of a normal lippy.  I found that the colour generally stayed put for at least 2-3 hours when eating/drinking was involved, so rather good going, but it did make my lips feel a bit tacky after a while, quite dry - a top-up slick seemed to give the necessary moisture boost required to banish that sticky feel.

Here's a swatch of my favourite colours from the range. Which do you like the most? 097 Designer and 095 Finale look quite similar on this swatch, but 097 has a stronger golden-orange tone while 095 is more vibrant reddy-orange (see the below individual images)

My hot-picks
050 - Couture Revlon colorstay ultimate suede
050 - Couture
A great berry shade, 050 Couture has just enough glossy pinky undertones shimmering through to keep it flattering to my light skin tone. It's a great one for making green eyes pop too.

095 - Finale Revlon colorstay ultimate suede
095 - Finale
Excuse the mildly 'emo' pose... someone get me a snapback already. This reddy-orange shade has a unrivalled brightness, so fresh and funky, I love it! Now don't mind me, I need to go twiddle with my fringe.

097 - Designer Revlon colorstay ultimate suede
097 - Designer
The orangey tang of 097 Designer is bang on trend for a fierce lip this summer, and although it's a great shade for darker skin tones, the golden shimmer means pale skinned folk (like me) can work it too. Hurrah!
